Thought I would try putting a short movie up here of the Topwater Special in action.  Let's see if this works.  This rod is a scream for kayak fishing talk about fun to catch fish on WOW!

http://www.brainerdoutdoorsradio.com/ Hey folks check out the podcast from 7-3-2010.  I've got short interview on kayak fishing done by the host Brian Moon in Brainerd MN.  Kayak fishing is growing everywhere and in the north country chances are the yakers are going to hands down outfish the power boaters.  The radio show has a super format and one heck of a great host.  Hopefully in the future I can do some more on air stuff with him.

Got to get wet when I fish

I love to wade fish and maybe that is another reason why the W500 is my favorite kayak.  Easy in and easy out when you want to walk around.  Nothing is a slient as the on foot approach to a good piece of water.  This smallmouth was a on a topwater plug on mono line using the new universal topwater rod.  Great fun to be sure and it was real nice to wade around some in Canada.

Can't wait to get back to this, kayak fishing.

Been back from the yearly Lake of the Woods Adventure since Monday night.  My W500 has been calling my name since the Ranger pulled into the yard.  Kayaking fishing is the way to the most fish per hour of time spent.  You learn to work an area of water more carefully and certainly to spend the most time where the fish are.  This weekend does not look the best so far as weather but who knows here in Florida it changes quickly.  I'll get out as soon as possible, but that W500 sure is calling loudly.

My Emmrod work station

For the entire week in Canada this is where I worked.  Twelve hours a day facing sun, wind, rain, and numerous risks from hooks and fish.  Someone had to do it, I faced it as best I could, and had a blast!  Wow those Emmrods performed like champs.  Even the new spincast reel from Qualia performed very well, this reel should change lots of ideas on spincast gear.  What we now have is a spincast reel when combined with an Emmrod can land anything an angler might wish to fish for with converntional spinning or casting gear.
