Alabama rig set up with jig heads
OK, here we are, the Alabama rig with the wires spread and the jig heads attached. The chartreuse jigs on the edges are 1/8 ounce while the red one in the center is 3/8 ounce. This should help stabilize the rig in the water and allow it to track properly. I'll be using a Curado 300D series bait casting reel starting out with the Packrod handle and a 4 coil standard Universal rod. By the way this bait cast set up is great out of a fishing kayak and for one you can stand in like a Wavewalk 500, pure gold. Hopefully some water time will come later this coming week. The Emmrod should handle this heavy lure with little problem.
