I've been asked how I wrap the handles on the Packer I use at shows and while kayak fishing. Here is a close up of a well worn Packer grip. This rod has been a shows and on the water now for almost a year. Sure it shows some wear but the grip is in place and very comfy. It's just an over warp of tennis racket padded tape and then a 1 inch cane tip on the butt. Right near the fishing reel a piece of plastic leak repair tape keeps it all in place. By the way the reel looks huge because it is a DM-40 from Qualia as good a baitcaster replacement by spincast as there is.Labels: fishing, fishing gear, fishing kayak, fishing rod, Qualia reels
